Situation Report 2021

Due to heavy rainfall in Cox’s Bazar since the end of July, flood, landslides and other difficulties have occurred which has caused damage to shelters and facilities in different areas of the camps and other Upazila. Many camps are at risk of flooding and landslides. Eight people have already been died including 4 children in the recent spate of floods and landslides. On 27 July 2021, the situation became worst. SARPV is providing nutrition support to the children under 5, PLWs and adolescent girls in Camp 4, 5, 6, 8W and 10 through Malnutrition Treatment & Prevention Programme funded by UNICEF & WFP. In the host community at Chakaria, Pekua, Moheshkhali and Lohagara, many people are affected due to heavy rainfall and flood. This report intends to present the situation of the flood affected areas of different Upazila of Cox’s Bazar, nutrition facilities and catchment areas in the mentioned camps.
