Rozina Akter is a woman with disability lives in kaharia ghona of Chakaria Upazila. Her father Mr. Md. Manik is a farmer and also the only earning member of this family. Rozina has a brother and four sisters. Depending on the single earning member, her family goes through extreme financial crisis to bear the family expenses. Rozina said that because of polio she became a victim of physical disability. She completed her primary education from SARPV’s “Prodipalay School” after that she passed class eight from Chakaria high school.

At the initial stage Rozina was depressed due to her disability. She had no hope and ambition. In 2010 she got to know about SARPV and their activities on disability. Getting involved with SARPV she got training on tailoring and become aware on the rights of person with disability (PwD) from SARPV. In 2020 she got 6 months training from Brac and got one sewing machine, one wheelchair with the help of SARPV. In last Eid ul Azha Rozina made many clothing items to sell in her neighborhood and made profit.
In addition, Rozina along with her other neighbors, keep 50 takas as savings per month in VSL program of SARPV and their current savings amount is 50000/=. Now they have a plan to buy more cloths from chattogram and to expand their business.
