Social Assistance and Rehabilitation for the Physically Vulnerable (SARPV) is devoted to work for the most underprivileged and marginalized vulnerable groups of the society for their socioeconomic development to transform them as productive human resource with a dignified lifestyle. People with Disability are the prime focus of our every work. Along with the disability issue SARPV is also intervening in various sensitive issues like poverty eradication, educational support, Nutrition & health service providing, establishing rights for people with disabilities, climate change, skill development to integrate the vulnerable groups in the mainstream of society those who are leading life with uncertainty in the society.
1991 after the catastrophic tropical cyclone in the southern region of Bangladesh SARPV initiated its community level work at that region. It operated the first ever relief and rehabilitation operation that was focused to prevent disability after that disaster due to physical injury and mental trauma.
From 2014 SARPV is implementing the Improving Maternal & Child Nutrition programme (IMCN) and Community based Management & Actuate Malnutrition programme (CMAM) funded by WFP & ACF at Moheskhali & pekua, Cox’sBazar.
SARPV is looking for suitable candidate for following position of its IMCN & CMAM Project.

Duration of contract | : | 12 months (Possibility of extension based on performance and need of the project). |
Salary Range | : | BDT 51,000.00/Month. |
Age Limit | : | 37 years maximum (age limit will be relaxed in case of potential candidate). |
Duty station | : | Moheskhali & Pekua, Cox’sBazar. |

Roles and Responsibility:
- Ensuring all procurement activities as per SARPV Procurement Manual. Donor Regulations and Concern Delegation of Authority.
- Ensuring day to day procurement process including Supply Requests, quotation collection, drafting Requests for Quotations, Bids Analysis and Contracts/Purchase Orders and facilitating relevant reviews and approvals.
- Reviewing purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy and identify sources of supply if needed.
- Ensuring that all supplies, services and equipment required are delivered on time to project sites/ camps. This includes routine communication, coordination & planning with the relevant requesting staff regarding needs.
- Ensuring the SP Tracking report compiled and updated on the SP received and share the updated report on a weekly basis.
- Coordinating with Finance and program departments to ensure internal controls, timely payment of vendors and auditable support documentation.
- Generating and maintaining comprehensive price list for goods, services and equipment purchased by SARPV.
- Maintaining an up to date vendor list and documentation.
- Working with multiple suppliers to determine the best price for the SARPV, and have to evaluate based on price, quality, delivery and other factors.
- Establishing and maintaining ethical, professional working relation with suppliers.
- Ensuring that services are delivered with maximum efficiency and professionalism and that beneficiaries are treated with respect at all times
- Enabling a friendly collaborative working culture within the team, actively sharing information and knowledge to enable the team to ensure effective learning and sharing across the team.
Assets Management:
- Ensuring assets number for newly procured items and periodic assets verification through a committee & prepare verification report for filling.
- Ensuring that properties rents are paid in a timely manner
- Ensuring that all utilities are paid as required
- Carrying out a monthly inspection of all properties to evaluate any repairs or maintenance requirements
- Maintaining and updating asset register for all Furniture, Fixtures and Fittings.
Accountability:
- The Logistics Officer shall be accountable to the senior finance & admin officer of SARPV.
Person Specification:
Education and experience:
- Bachelor/Master’s degree in relevant field (Education qualification will be relaxed in case of potential/ experienced candidates).
- At least 5-6 years working experience in Log & Procurement management.
- Having excellent skill on written, verbal communication and time management.
Skills and abilities:
- Proficiency in advance MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Browsing Internet etc.
- Working knowledge in English and Bangla language with well Typing skill.
- Knowledge of using Log software (Tally & ERP software).
- Knowledge on Bangladesh Tax and VAT rules.
- Highly experienced is Donor Fund programme preferred.

- Adhere to the 5 fundamental principles of SARPV movement.
- Act at all times in accordance with the Code of Conduct and strong ethics with an ability to manage confidential data.
- Listening skills; Cultural sensitivity; Flexibility & adaptability; Team player and gender sensitive.
- Ability and willingness to travel and stay in the field.
- Experience to work with a humanitarian response will be an added advantage.
- Work experience within the SARPV Movement will be preferable.
Lateral relationships:
- Establish and ensure effective working relationships with members in the program team of SARPV.
